The Journal is where a Character's story is kept. Nothing in it is a stat. The Character Sheet holds what a Character is; the Journal holds what they have done, who remembers it, and what it cost them. Lore is a category of pages in here, not a sheet of its own.
Ten pages in three parts, plus a roster.
Where the Character came from and what they have gathered since. Background and Alignment open it. The Mission Statement follows, and it matters mechanically: how it is pursued or neglected moves Standing with every faction and NPC who has a stake in it. Quest Logs and Items track what is open and what was carried for it. Maps and Sentimental Value hold places, landmarks and the objects that are worth more than their price.
How the world answers. Titles and Reputation record what a Character is called: Boasted Titles are earned and displayed one at a time, Shamed Titles are given by the GM, always Exposed, and only ever replaced by another of lower value. Standing and Affiliation track every faction and NPC separately, by tier and by number. Legacy is what outlasts the Character.
Rank and Advancement, then Growth, Retirement and Becoming a Legend. These pages are filled slowly, a line at a time across a campaign, not in a single sitting.
One line per Companion. Everything that changes after acquisition lives on the Companion Booklet instead; this page is the index of who is bound to the Character.
The physical Journal in the box set is a tear-away pad, so a full page comes free and goes in the campaign archive. Tear it when it is done, not before.
